Over 1,450 goats for women in the Kirinda region

The goat project has taken on a life of its own: every woman passes on her first goat kid. Now the distribution is continuing in more communities.

The goat project has taken on a life of its own: by now, over 1,450 goats have been given to women from the Kirinda region.

The principle stays the same: the women pass their first goat kid on to the next woman on the list and may keep all the kids that follow. In the immediate surroundings of Kirinda, every woman on the parish’s list has now received a goat. That is why the distribution is now continuing in the surrounding communities, including Mugano, Gitwa, Mubuga and Nyagisozi.

There are still many single women on the waiting list. A goat costs a one-off €35 – and, by the way, it also makes a wonderful present.
