The ball is rolling again: the football pitch is finished
After drainage, levelling and a break for the rainy season, the school sports field in Kirinda has been renovated. Now the grass just needs to grow in.
For years the students in Kirinda had not been able to play on their pitch, because it was flooded for most of the year. Now the renovation is complete.
Work began in August 2022. Until the start of the rainy season at the end of October, the work made very good progress; then there was a break of almost four weeks. It showed that the new drainage works: the water drains away well.
The pitch is now finished, and the grass just needs to grow in. All of Kirinda is delighted that the ball will soon be rolling again. Thank you to all the foundations and associations that made this possible!
