Goats that keep on giving: the goat project
Over 1,450 goats for single women: each one passes her first goat kid on to the next woman on the list.
The goat project has taken on a life of its own: so far, over 1,450 goats have been given to women from the Kirinda region.
The principle: each woman passes her first goat kid on to the next woman on the list and may keep all the others. In Kirinda itself, every woman on the parish’s list (E.P.R.) has already received a goat. That is why the distribution is continuing in the surrounding communities, for example in Mugano, Intabire, Gitwa, Mubuga, Jimbu and Nyagisozi. Many single women are still on the waiting list.
Donate a goat
- How much does a goat cost? €35 (one-off).
- Who benefits? Single women in Rwanda. The goat provides milk, manure and offspring, and so brings lasting improvements to the lives of women and children.
- What do I get? A small button with the goat logo and a donation receipt.
- How do I donate? Transfer €35 to our donation account with the payment reference “Ziegenprojekt” and your address.
By the way, a goat also makes a wonderful birthday or Christmas present.
