Building the new kindergarten

Built in record time: since October 2023, 74 children in three classes have been learning and playing in the new kindergarten.

The finished kindergarten: a brick building with a canopy and blue doors

At the end of 2022 we were given notice on the rooms used by our kindergarten. Emergency accommodation in the church’s guest house was far too small. So planning, funding, permits and construction all had to be done at record speed.

Construction began in May 2023, and in October 2023, 74 children in three classes moved in. The official opening took place on 11 November 2023.

Funding

The new building was made possible by the Merck Family Foundation, the Cetto Foundation, the Lotte-von-Süsskind-Stiftung and many people celebrating their birthdays who asked for donations instead of presents.

Outdoor area

After the move came the retaining wall, the fence and the outdoor play equipment.
