New girls' dormitory
A dormitory for 48 schoolgirls at the I.P.K. – financially the largest project our association has undertaken so far.
Building the girls’ dormitory is financially the largest project Junge Menschen für Afrika e.V. has undertaken so far.
The dormitory provides new rooms for 48 students. It was officially opened in May 2022 – with lots of happy, contented faces.
Thank you!
For the planning, we would like to thank Ingenieure ohne Grenzen (Engineers Without Borders) from Vienna and Nico Hillen, who wrote his master’s thesis on the project. Murakoze cyane!
A heartfelt thank you, too, to the private donors and the foundations who supported us. Without all of you, this important project would not have been possible.
The building costs came to €130,000, and construction took seven months. A picture is worth a thousand words – see for yourself in the gallery.
